Listen Up! Where's the Door?

Lisa Rice wrote this.

In a day where we jockey between phone calls, iTunes and anything else that catches our ear, it’s hard to imagine a time where voice recordings were non-existant. Those of us with careers in communications owe a lot to Mr. Alexander Graham Bell. This tenacious scientist, inventor, engineer and innovator led the way for what consumes much of our everyday lives.

The Smithsonian released a video explaining how they’re extracting sounds from wax disc recordings of Mr. Graham’s voice from 1885. Read more here. Take a look and listen below:

Alexander also had something to say to those of us who get discouraged every once in a while.

“When one door closes another door opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” ~ Alexander Graham Bell

What door(s) do you need to see today?
